Sue Perkins

Sue grew up in Devon, England and always had pen or pencil and paper on hand. After her marriage Sue and her husband spent some years travelling the world before starting a family. In 1986 Sue and her family emigrated to New Zealand and subsequently became New Zealand citizens.
In the early 1990s, Sue decided to hone her writing skills and began sending her manuscripts out into the big wide world. It took a while, but in 2006 Sue’s perseverence was rewarded. Whiskey Creek Press offered her a contract for her contemporary romance “Three Hearts” and the Commonwealth Broadcasting Association announced her the Australasian/Pacific winner of their 2006 Short Story Competition. “Three Hearts” was released in May 2007.
Whiskey Creek Press have also accepted the first two of her “Sky Castles” fantasy trilogy. “Blue & Silver” now available, and “Russet & Gold” is due for release in August 2008. The third book in the trilogy, “Ebony & Ivory” is a work in progress.
Another contemporary romance “Recipe for Love” will be released by Whiskey Creek Press in May 2008 and “Whiskey Shots Volume 16” a volume of two short romance stories was released in March 2008.
Sue’s children are now the world travellers while Sue, her husband and dog live on a 3 acre property at the top of New Zealand’s South Island. Sue works as a graphic artist for a local trade paper. Her interests include writing, reading, genealogy and line dancing.
