Imogen Howson

As a child, Imogen loved reading so much that she not only read in bed, at the table and in the bath, but in the shower and—not so successfully—on her bicycle. She enjoyed books in a slightly unorthodox way, too—many of her childhood books have ragged edges where she tore paper from the margins in order to eat it.

She wrote her first book at eight. It was entitled The Dragon in the Teapot and would probably have been a huge hit if she hadn’t lost the only copy on a family day out.

Some years later, Imogen is pursuing a career as a writer with more success. She writes novels and short stories—in the genres of fantasy, science fiction and romance, for preference. And she always makes copies of her work.

Imogen lives near Sherwood Forest in England, with her partner and two children. She still reads in most places, but she no longer eats paper.
