SRN is a network of writers of non-erotic romance and non-romance genres. Founder Diana Castilleja was having difficulties finding authors who wrote ’sweet’ stories like hers. Her critique partner, buried in one work in progress or another, told her to just find some, darnit!
A Texan on a mission is a dangerous thing. Failing to find a group, Diana decided to create one of her own. And so, Sweeter Romantic Notions was born, in late May of 2006. Her critique partner (still deep in the writer cave) smiled and nodded when hearing about the group’s inception. What she failed to realize, as she nodded and agreed, was that Diana was roping her in to the job of Moderator and co-founder.
Of course, Dayna Hart, being a fantasy writer and all, has a vivid imagination, and she decided in June 2007 that SRN wasn’t quite striving hard enough. So, enduring another web-coding fit, Dayna has upgraded the site to include listings of all the authors, as well as all their books, grouped either by author or genre, for readers looking for something a little less steamy.
